Our people

One for all, all for one

The key to the success of an effectively functioning team was already known centuries ago. The "Three Musketeers" slogan, ONE FOR ALL, ALL FOR ONE, characterizes the Infragate team with rare accuracy.

Our people consider the most important values in their work:

  • inspiring colleagues
  • a very large experience in various fields of engineering
  • flexible working hours
  • very good payment system
  • modern work environment
  • an active board whose members also manage projects, design, and supervise them on a daily basis
  • good position and reputation of the company in the market
  • 99% of our people consider Infragate a stable and reliable employer based on a survey conducted in the company and recommend their friend/acquaintance to come to work in the company

Helena is one of the owners of AS Infragate Eesti, a member of the board, and a manager of infrastructure design. She joined the company already in the summer of 2000, 5 days before graduating from university. By profession, she is an authorized water supply and sewerage engineer with a master's degree, and thanks to her work experience, she is also qualified as a certified civil engineer. As a solution-oriented person, she does not favor negativism: "I don't like to complain and gossip. You can criticize if you think about what could be changed and done better. Just bashing and putting people down is not constructive criticism."

On the corporate level, in Helena's eyes, the dream of creating a strong engineering company from Infragate has been achieved. The strength of the company lies primarily in our people. We support our people in every possible way. "The board is more of an assisting unit for the engineers than a boss. We have very educated people at work. We have strong backing and an invisible safety net in the form of our team. At the same time, it is important that, in addition to stability, there is also excitement and challenges." First of all, she expects honesty and integrity from her people, as well as knowledge of their field and punctuality. In addition, she values it when people enjoy what they do and want to think along and act independently. An engineer cannot and must not stay in their comfort zone. She considers it especially cool when one can think outside the box and find new solutions. This is how she also likes to solve situations that seem unsolvable at first glance: "There are always solutions, and often the key lies in the simplicity of the solution."

Project manager and owner supervision engineer Sven has worked in the company for over 15 years. In the past, he has managed both a metal shop and built sawmills. He came to Infragate through the company manager, Jüri, when operations at his previous workplace ceased. "I came here because I had been exposed to both construction and design. I'm hardly going to leave here just like that," says Sven. He appreciates that the company has always had a very loyal team, and there has always been work, and there is no slacking, as he himself says. For Sven, Infragate's good reputation is also important: "We are one of the leading companies in our field. The manager of the company, Jüri, is a well-known person in his field and is on the board of various professional organizations. There's nothing to be ashamed of working here. There is always support from colleagues, and in case of concern, there is sure to be someone who is competent to share their experiences." In addition, there have never been any problems with getting the necessary tools, and salaries have always been paid on time, regardless of how the company has been doing at the moment.

Liisi also came to the company through acquaintances. Before that, she had worked in two design companies. She has been working at Infragate for over 13 years. Although she has been designing since she graduated from university and is still doing it, her field of work has expanded, and project management has also been added. "I mainly design water and sewerage, but I also design roads. It is both a busy and an exciting time. There is a lot of work, and there have been many different projects, from development plans to pipeline design. The scope is large, and you can do versatile work here," Liisi points out in her development path for the company."Working hours are flexible, and the environment is friendly, so I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Since the jobs are different and you can communicate a lot, you never get bored," she shares her satisfaction with her workplace, also emphasizing the value of a loyal team.

At first, Keit came to the company part-time while completing his PhD. He found the job offer on the university's mailing list. However, he now works full-time on various environmental issues. Thus, his competence includes assisting project management and preparing procurements, and he also manages projects himself. "The company is very pleasant, and I was well received. There is a very warm and friendly attitude here, and if there is a problem or if you need help, everyone is very responsive," Keit appreciates the all-round support of his colleagues. He also considers stability, fixed salary, and flexible yet fixed working hours to be important. Training and different motivation packages are also a value in themselves and a constant promotion of employee well-being.

Martin, who previously worked as a construction project manager, came to Infragate thanks to the project he was managing at the time and Infragate was supervising. From there, he was invited for an interview, and due to mutual compatibility, he now works at Infragate's Tartu office instead. "The team is nice and good, and everything is going well. At the moment, I am watching the process from the other side of the table. Since previously there was a lot of pressure in the position of construction project manager, I decided to come to the supervisory side in order to have more time for myself," Martin enjoys the new job specification.

Riho joined the company straight from university. At first, he worked on water and sewage development plans and projects, but later, he became interested in the field of hydraulic models. Since Infragate was also engaged in building design at that time, Riho wanted to test himself in this field as well. The company kindly gave me the opportunity. "I have been kept at Infragate by the understanding attitude of my colleagues and versatile development opportunities, as well as continuous personal development," says Riho, who is still involved in the project management of building and outdoor space design.

"This has been one of my longest-term jobs," aptly sums up his experiences with Karli, another employee of the company, which operates in the field of water and sewage as well as heating and ventilation. He considers the atmosphere here to be pleasantly lively: "Colleagues are nice, and joint events have created a feeling of a united team. A modern and light-filled office in a new building with a pleasant, homely feel is no less important. You can shuffle around the office in slippers," he says with a smile.

Roman started looking for a professional job when he still had a year left to study at Tallinn University of Technology: "I approached the lecturer to see if he had any job offers in the field of supervision or design. Of the two offers, I preferred Infragate." In the beginning, he was involved in both supervision and design, but he prefers the latter, as he works in the field of design today. Integration into the collective was pleasantly quick for him, and he has always received the necessary help and guidance.

In addition to the overall strong team, active management is appreciated, as the members of the management also manage projects and design and supervise them on a daily basis. The most important values are inspiring colleagues, flexible working hours, a very good remuneration system, a modern work environment on the Tehnopol campus, understanding management, and the company's good position and reputation in the market.
